Wednesday
Webinars
for EU Family Judges

Three New Webinars in 2026 for Family Judges on Different Topics Surrounding:

“Navigating the Brussels IIb Regulation:
Insights, Best Practices & Challenges!”

After last year’s successful Wednesday Webinar Series MiKK is delighted to introduce the new 2026 series of Wednesday Webinars! The webinars are conducted at lunchtime and are specifically designed for family judges dealing with cross-border family disputes and parental child abduction cases. The webinars are free of charge for family judges.

Nearly four years after the Brussels IIb Recast (Council Regulation (EU) 2019/1111) entered into force, judges across EU Member States welcome the improvements brought by the (still relatively new) Regulation while also highlighting ongoing challenges.

The MiKK Wednesday Webinars are designed to offer EU family judges the opportunity to clarify existing questions, discuss any problems experienced and receive practical guidance on applying the Brussels IIb Recast in complex cross-border family disputes, including international parental child abduction cases. Participating Judges will have the chance to deepen their understanding, learn about new possibilities and best practices for resolving these complex cases under the Brussels IIb Regulation – and comparing notes with family judges from across different EU Member States. The Wednesday Webinars have received highly positive reviews by international participants throughout.

Expert Speakers

The webinars are led by experienced and internationally recognized judges and expert jurists, offering valuable insights, updates and space for discussion for family judges from different EU Member States.

The Wednesday Webinars offer a great opportunity to strengthen judicial cooperation across the EU and connect with fellow EU family law judges!
