Webinars
for EU Family Lawyers
Three New Webinars in 2026 for Family Lawyers on Different Topics Surrounding:
“Navigating the Brussels IIb Regulation:
Insights, Best Practices & Challenges!”
After last year’s successful Wednesday Webinar Series MiKK is delighted to introduce the new 2026 series! The webinars are conducted at lunchtime and are specifically designed for EU family lawyers handling cross-border family disputes and parental child abduction cases.
Nearly four years after the Brussels IIb Recast (Council Regulation (EU) 2019/1111) entered into force, lawyers across EU Member States welcome the improvements brought by the (still relatively new) Regulation while also highlighting ongoing challenges.
The MiKK Wednesday Webinars are designed to offer EU family lawyers the opportunity to clarify existing questions, discuss any problems experienced and receive practical guidance on applying the Brussels IIb Recast in complex cross-border family disputes, including international parental child abduction cases. Participating lawyers will have the chance to deepen their understanding, learn about new possibilities and best practices for resolving these complex cases under the Brussels IIb Regulation – and comparing notes with family lawyers from across different EU Member States. The Wednesday Webinars have received highly positive reviews by international participants throughout.

“Brussels IIb Regulation in Action:
Best Practices, Key Take-aways & Challenges.”
MiKK introduced the Wednesday Webinar Series, created specifically for EU family lawyers who handle cross-border parental responsibility conflicts and international child abduction cases.
Almost three years after the Brussels IIb Recast (Council Regulation (EU) 2019/1111) came into effect, lawyers throughout the EU appreciated the Regulation’s significant improvements in the field of cross-border parental responsibility and child abduction disputes, while also pointing out areas where they experienced challenges.
The MiKK Wednesday Webinars aim to provide EU family lawyers with the opportunity to gain hands-on practical guidance on applying the Brussels IIb Recast in complex EU family law disputes.
